ParkingParking is a simple parking charges database application for the Palm OS.
Currently only the parking charges of Singapore is included but you can
still use it for other cities. Minimum Requirements : Palm OS 3.0 & above.
Please contribute to the Singapore parking database by filling up the file
submit.txt which is included in the zip file and email it to me.
You can also download the submission file here.
I will add the additions and modifications to the existing database and publish it on
this page. With your help, we can make the Singapore parking database a comprehensive one. Instructions
The main screen is divided into two portions, the top shows the charge for current selected parking place. The bottom shows the list of parking places in the current category. The current database version is shown on the top besides the title "Parking". The version is shown as "DB ver #", where # is the version number. As the database is updated, the version number is increased, in this way you will know whether your version is the latest. Clicking on the up or down arrow scrolls the list by one page. Pressing the hardware up/down button scrolls the list by one entry. To locate a parking place quickly, write the first character of the name in Graffiti and the list will scroll to the first parking place which start with that character, e.g. writing "y" will scroll the list to "Yen San Building".
Clicking on "Edit" button allows you to edit the current selected entry. You can also achieve this by double clicking on the entry. Clicking on "New" button allows you to add a parking place to the database. Clicking on "Alternatives" button shows a list of alternative parking places to the current selected entry. Editing or adding a parking place is done in the "Entry" form. Enter name, charges and alternatives of parking place. Please note that alternatives must be of same category as the parking place. Changing category will clear the list of alternatives. Hence, when adding a new parking place, ensure that the category is correct before saving.
